StaphAseptic®

Protection from Infection Without Antibiotics…

Parents, school administrators, coaches and kids need to be aware of the growing problem of antibiotic resistant germs including methicillin resistant staph or Mersa (MRSA) because they spread easily from person to person and are appearing at epidemic rates. Mersa (MRSA) can spread through:

  • close skin-to-skin contact
  • cuts in the skin
  • contaminated surfaces and equipment
  • poor personal hygiene

Community acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA) is difficult to determine source of contact and spreads quickly, especially through young athletes who share contaminated equipment and family members who share personal items.

Commonly used topical antibiotics, including popular triple antibiotics, have not been shown to prevent MRSA infections and can cause skin irritation in nearly 10% of the population.  In vitro studies have shown that StaphAseptic® kills over 99.9% of Mersa germs (MRSA), preventing an infection without antibiotics.  This new pain-relieving wound treatment should be used as part of a complete staph prevention program to protect you and your family from skin infections.

If you think you may have a skin infection, contact your physician immediately.  Staph bacteria, including MRSA, can cause skin infections that may look like a pimple, boil, or ingrown hair and can be red, swollen, painful, or have pus and other drainage.  Serious infections may cause pneumonia, bloodstream infections, or even death.
