Doctors are considering old antibiotics despite health hazards

Doctors are getting desperate to find antibiotics that work on MRSA infections. They are beginning to resort to old antibiotics, one of them being chloramphenicol, that are no longer in use due to possibly lethal side effects.
Physicians are taking this desperate measure due to the fact that MRSA is resistant to most modern antibiotics. They feel like they have no choice but to use drugs that are not actively being overused. Some think if you are going to die anyway, trying a potentially lethal drug can't be worse.
